Greg Hackney, with two fish in the livewell, has caught a short fish and another 3-pounder in short order. That gives him three keepers weighing about 8 1/2 pounds.
When asked how much weight he had, Hackney replied, "Oh, I don't know. I'm from Arkansas. I can't count."
Shortly afterwards, Hackney put No. 4 in the box. It appeared to weigh about 2 3/4 pounds.
Hackney, by the way, did live in Star City, Ark., for his first 27 years on this earth, before moving to Gonzales, La.
