Chris Zaldain didn’t begin this day in a good mood, after finding his boat had been pilfered of some rod-and-reel combos overnight. But he’s been all smiles this morning, after catching a 3-pounder at 6:51, this 4-plus-pounder at 7:28 and another 4-pounder at 7:43.
Zaldain moved up in the Toyota Angler of the Year standings from 12th to 7th last week after his 9th place finish at the St. Lawrence River. He’s someone to keep an eye on this week too, as he finished 3rd at Cayuga in 2014.
