Zaldain gets well in a hurry

It’s been a slow morning for Chris Zaldain, but he’s feeling much better now with two big smallmouth in his livewell. The fist one came at noon, a 4-pounder that he carefully played into boat. Minutes later he landed a 3 and 3/4. “These bass are finicky,” he said, “I’m being really careful.”

Zaldain saw more bass following his keepers in. We’re expecting more action shortly here on Western end of the St. Lawrence River.
