Zaldain with a difference-maker

It has taken over 90 pounds to win the last three Elite Series tournaments on Kentucky Lake – 97-4 by Edwin Evers in 2015, 92-5 by Kevin VanDam in 2010 and 97-9 by Bobby Lane in 2009. You don’t get to those totals over four days without a few difference-makers. Chris Zaldain just caught one – a 6-pounder. It was the difference in him being in 16th place with 14-0 at 10:15 a.m. and in third place with 18-4 at 10:30 a.m., according to BASSTrakk.

David Walker has the biggest difference-maker we’ve seen so far today, a fat, pre-spawn female he estimated to weigh 6-8. If Walker can build a decent limit around that one, and he only has two small keepers now, he’ll zoom up the leaderboard too.
