Chris Lane made a late charge yesterday to be one of seven anglers to catch a five-bass limit. So he was especially pleased to be fishing the afternoon session today.
“The afternoon bite really keyed me in on something,” Lane said before launching at noon today. “I think today is a big day for me. It’s hard to play catch-up. Having an afternoon bite yesterday and fishing the afternoon today, that’s something I have to make sure I capitalize on.”
Lane’s fish came on a River2Sea Whopper Plopper yesterday. He guessed he’d be pretty much a “one-rod-Todd” today. If you were watching “LIVE,” you saw Lane make one cast with a drop-shot, put it down, pick up the Whopper Plopper and catch a 2-pound, 3-ounce bass at 1:40 p.m.
