Work anywhere Wednesday

From the files of a bass angler will work on tackle just about everywhere: This is Taku Ito Wednesday afternoon.

A few minutes before Ito was sitting in his boat working on tackle for the start of the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite on Lake Champlain.

Then a thunderstorm came through spilling a cold rain in the 68-degree temperature. Instead of waiting it out or dealing with the cold rain, Ito did the smart thing. He grabbed his gear and took shelter in the overhang of the Hampton Inn.

The Adirondack chairs were probably much more comfortable than a wet deck. And Ito never checked up, leaving some of us to wonder if there might be just a little redneck in our Japanese friend.
