Twenty-six-year-old Elite Series rookie Jake Whitaker from Fairview, N.C., has provided an early indicator of the flip-flops you’re likely to see in the Day 2 standings. Whitaker started the day in 57th place with 10-11 on Day 1.
But Whitaker is whacking ’em this morning. He’s got a 5-7 to go with a 3-14 and a 3-7 in his 16-pound, 3-ounce bag that has him up to 3rd place in the BASSTrakk standings.
