If you’re familiar with the Elite Series trivia that is predicting the Top 50 cut weight based on the Day results, you know the formula tends to be elusive. Sometimes you can simply double 50th place from Day 1 and be on the money. Other times it’s more like double the Day 1 50th place weight and subtract two pounds. And sometimes if falls in between.
Here’s how it looks with Flight No. 1 having two hours left on the lake, and Flight No. 4 having three hours left. (Check-in times begin at 3 p.m. and are 20 minutes apart for each flight.)
Four guys were tied from 49th place yesterday, so 49th through 53rd place was 10-9 on Day 1. Double that and you get 21-2. Chad Grigsby is currently in 50th place on BASStrakk with 20-2. Your guess at the cut weight is as good as mine.
