What will the cut weight be?

The 108-angler field will be cut to the Top 50 anglers after today’s weigh-in. Fiftieth-place on Day 1 was 11 pounds, 6 ounces, where Edwin Evers and Kyle Monti were tied.

The obvious prediction is that the cut weight will be 22-12, but most of the Elite Series pros think it will take a little more than that.

“With the wind blowing, I think it’s going to take about 23 1/2 pounds to make the cut,” said Stephen Browning, who was in 44th place with 11-12 on Day 1. Browning is well on his way this morning with 3 bass weighing 7 pounds, including a 3-12 caught at 8:04.
