Patrick Walters is on the board with a 2-pound bass. That’s all he’s got at the 9 a.m. hour. He did it like he always does with his jersey tucked into his shorts, the old school way. He may be they only professional angler I’ve seen that tucks his jersey in. We asked him about this last year, and he told us he just likes it that way, makes him feel “put together.” It makes us think about the legends of the early days who tried to give the sport a more professional image by dressing in collared shirts and khakis.
