Swindle bumped himself downstream to the bottom of this stretch of grass again and promptly made two culls. He’s put eight bass in the boat and he keeps making the bag swell with each Hookset.
He is alternating between the white swim jig, a buzz bait with a Horny Toad, a spinnerbait and a pitchin’ jig as a follow-up bait whenever he gets a short strike.
As I type, he just landed another largemouth that won’t upgrade. He also just swung and missed again too. Judging by the activity of the four Great Blue Herons in front of Swindle in the Coosa River Grass, I’d say he is capitalizing on the tail end of the spawn this morning.
