There’s a strong crop of rookies on the Elite Series this season and Josh Stracner of Vandiver, Ala., is one of them. He’s one of six rookies bunched in contention for the Rookie of the Year title. After four events, Stracner entered Lake Fork fourth in the ROY standings, but only 21 points out of the lead, and Stracner was 32nd in Angler of the Year points after the Sabine River tournament.
He’s having another good tournament early in this one. Stracner’s 24-pound, 11-ounce bag, which has him in 4th place at 11 a.m., includes an 8-12 and the 6-13, pictured here.
