Spinnerbait a factor today?

This morning Edwin Evers is throwing a spinnerbait against the abundant Lake Conroe seawalls.

Plumbing the depths of our collective memory, which is admittedly limited, Steve Bowman and I can’t recall a Classic being won on a spinnerbait since Ken Cook did it in 1991 on Chesapeake Bay. By the way that’s approximately 26 years ago.

Appropriately Evers is kind of an old school angler. Will the spinnerbait return to the national spotlight today?
