Slow start for Walters

It’s been a slow morning so far for Patrick Walters. With two in the box and a short that didn’t make the cut, the Rapala Pro has started to zero in on a pattern; however, the Elite Series Pro isn’t ready to dial it in just yet. “I’ve got to fish a few of these pockets just to get it out of my head,” says Walters. “I know the fish are on points but we can catch three-pounders all day. We need a big fish to push us up the board. That’s why we come in here.”

The Falcon Pro and former South Carolina Gamecock has 19 rods out in the boat and continues to cycle through a series of baits.

Make no mistake about it, Walters is seeing plenty of good fish on his electronics. When his persistence and the bass collide, it’s going to make for a solid day’s work.
