Shoutout to Champlain

Ronnie Moore just shared these stats during Bassmaster LIVE on the Screen of Knowledge. In case you missed it, check out the amazingly surprising catches yesterday on Champlain.

  • Limits caught: 94 out of 95 anglers
  • Average weight: 3 pounds, 7 ounces
  • Cut weight: 17 pounds, 9 ounces, by four anglers
  • Bags at 20 pounds or more: 9
Those are remarkable stats, considering it was considered an “off day” without the presence of sunshine, which stimulates smallmouth activity. Largemouth ruled, and the windless day allowed the anglers to move around more, searching for smallmouth and largemouth. Covering more water was an advantage, for sure.
