I’m pleasantly surprised that Brock Mosley made a short trip out into the lake this morning. It’s easy to cover a lot of ground up here between three lakes and a couple of rivers.
Finding something close in these events isn’t always easy. But Mosley seems to have pulled it off. That’s a testament to Mosley in a way.
There’s several young anglers in the Elite Series. Most came through the college ranks. And we are familiar with the Lee Brothers, both in the top 10 today. Plus Dustin Connell and Jesse Wiggins. Mosley is yet another young gun who belies his age.
We expect to see him around for a long time. And even though he hasn’t, it seems like he’s been around for a while already. When you talk to him, it’s like talking to a veteran. He obviously fishes like one. His ability to mine gold so close and with other boats relatively close and come out leading is really strong.
No matter his age or actions, the true test will be the next two days, though.
Somehow I think he will do just fine with it.
