Rivet moves up a notch

Laurie and I finally found Tyler Rivet, just in time for him to climb into second so far with a limit weighing 17-14. He’s not moving much at all. He’s just spraying casts in every direction and winding back over what appears to be shallow grass.

Every now and then, he reaches into a storage locker in his boat and pulls out a new lure. Maybe a changeup will draw strikes.

Just outside the pocket Rivet is fishing, Greg DiPalma is doing much the same — firing casts in every direction. DiPalma is in 20th place with 11-8. We saw him catch a small fish, but it must not have been a keeper because he quickly tossed it back into the water. He needs one for a limit.
