Queen keeps running

Not much has changed for KJ Queen since the last update. The Elite Series pro from North Carolina has made a few small upgrades to his catch and hold a livewell just shy of eight pounds.

By Queen’s admission, he’s not going to feel great about his day until he can get to 10 pounds. After making a series of short runs, the former college angler ran into a school of white bass which aren’t helping his cause.

Queen, who qualified for the Bassmaster Elite Series via the Bassmaster Opens, has done the vast majority of his work today with a powder blue and chartreuse crankbait.

Queen says, “We’re going to keep making runs and eventually we’re going to run into a big one. We have to!”
