It has been interesting to see the contrasting approaches to Pokegema Lake by Jacob Powroznik and Steve Kennedy. It’s best illustrated by the BASSTrakk totals, which show Powroznik has caught 12 fish weighing a total of 24 pounds, 11 ounces. His best five weigh 13-7.
Meanwhile, Kennedy has caught only three bass, but they weigh 10-10. He has stayed offshore, working a long point with a swimbait. Powroznik went shallow early, fishing a wacky worm around boat docks to catch a small limit. But Powroznik has moved offshore since then and has continued to upgrade.
It will be even more compelling to see how each angler adjusts on Day 2.
