Brian Latimer says Plano Edge keeps him sharp

Brian Latimer doesn’t mince words: “I’m not that organized; I need help.”

Thankfully, the Basspro.com Bassmaster Opens angler, has found just the organizational assistance he needs in the new Plano Edge Terminal Tackle tray. (Spoiler alert: Anyone attending the Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by HUK, specifically the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo, can take advantage of Latimer’s revelation. More on that at the end.)

One of 10 trays in the Edge Series officially introduced at ICAST 2019 and made available to consumers in January, the terminal tackle tray is one of the most well conceived containers to ever hit the market.

Each space-efficient tray is treated with Plano’s proprietary Rustrictor formula and features an innovative cam lock style latch that offers one-handed opening convenience. Other cool features include a reusable Water Wick divider that combats tray moisture, tightly spaced dividers for easy customization and built-in EZ Label System.

The Terminal Tackle Tray features interchangeable tackle compartments that allow anglers to position hooks, sinkers and other items exactly where they want it. As daily and seasonal needs change, quickly reorganizing the tray’s compartments facilitates efficiency.

As Latimer points out, the removable self-enclosed compartments easily fit into pockets or sit on front decks to minimize reaching time.

“Also, I like putting my weight compartments in the center to balance the tray so it doesn’t tip over (on my lap),” Latimer said.

Chris Russell, Director of Marketing for Plano Synergy’s Fishing division said all of these features fit into an appropriately catchy theme: “Stay Sharp.”

“The obvious part is that a tackle box is designed to keep all your (hooks) sharp and ready to go, but it’s also about keeping you organized,” Russell said of the Edge lineup, which one Best in Show for the Tackle Management category. “You hear the saying ‘He’s really sharp, he has his act together’ and it’s all about keeping people organized and more prepared to be successful on the water.”

The Edge lineup includes four boxes in Plano’s standard 3600 and 3700 sizes, along with six custom boxes designed for terminal tackle, crankbaits and spinnerbaits. For more on these products, visit https://www.planomolding.com/edge/.
