Photographer Andy Crawford is following Cody Pike this morning. Pike started the day in second place with 15-6, only 6 ounces behind Day 1 leader Patrick Walters.
But Pike isn’t exactly thrilled to be on Lake Norman right now, saying, “I’m wasting my time. I’ll be surprised if I catch a fish before 11 o’clock.”
That hour – 11 a.m. – has been mentioned by several anglers this week. The bite seems to get better as the sun gets higher.
