After one day of competition on Lake Champlain, it appears that once again both smallmouth and largemouth will both play a major role. Given the fact that the Elites are hitting Champlain a little earlier in the year, many suggested that largemouth would play a bigger role than last season and so far that appears to be true.
The big question is which species will hold up over the course of four days. Or, will it take a mixture of the two species? A good number of the Top 20 anglers after Day 1 had a mixture of both smallmouth and largemouth.
