After a slow start today on our end we settled in on Luke Palmer.
As soon as we rolled up, Palmer misses one on a topwater. A cast or two later and he loses one. Both of those fish he said were 3-pounders.
It’s still early but Palmer began to relay how he has lost three fish in the 3-pound range.
“Just has a bad luck day,” he said as we worked down a line of vegetation.
“I should’ve had a great start. I’d be feeling good now. My luck needs to change.”
You could tell he was bummed. Then things started to turn. Palmer noticed a fish moving, quickly cast to it and soon caught his first keeper of the day. And it’s around 3-pounds.
He quickly pronounced “Now that’s lucky.”
Maybe the luck has turned. While writing this he’s added another.
