You may notice in some of the photos that the anglers fishing the Carhartt Bassmaster College Wildcard presented by Bass Pro Shops are using non-penetrating culling clips. That’s actually a new rule for Bassmaster College and High School tournaments in 2017.
Tournament Director Hank Weldon told me the rules say “Clips that have the ability to puncture a fish’s mouth are not allowed for College and High School.”
For the other Bassmaster series, Elites, Open and Nation, the non-penetrating culling clips are encouraged.
