Pace was dragging a bait along 30-foot-deep structure when he caught the 10-pound, 5-ounce largemouth yesterday. Pace is the current leader and odds-on favorite to win the new Toyota Tundra truck that will be awarded to the angler who catches the big bass of Texas Fest.
However, there are bigger bass in Lake Travis, where the lake record is 14.2 pounds.
