Mosley’s backup plan

Having a backup plan laid the groundwork for where Brock Mosley is on the BASSTrakk score board. That is in the lead.

He just caught a key smallmouth weighing around 4 pounds.

“I’m setting drifts over what I call mine fields,” he just said on Bassmaster LIVE. “I call it that because you never know when the next bite is going to come, but it’s big, when it does happen.”

The backup plan was the St. Clair River, where Mosley has found previous success.

“Knowing I could catch fish from the river, if needed, made me comfortable, more relaxed,” he told me yesterday. “I could fish with patience and go for the bigger bite out on the lake,” he told me yesterday.

Mosley told me, as planned, that he was going to fish out on the lake.

“I have nothing to lose and I will need over 20 pounds on Sunday.”

He is well on his way.
