Moon shining bright on Kimura

A September full moon was still shining brightly on tournament leader Kenta Kimura of Osaka, Japan, and his co-angler Caleb Black of McAlester, Okla., as they began the final day of the Basspro.com Bassmaster Central Open at Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees today.

Kimura is attempting to post a wire-to-wire win. He began the tournament with a 20-pound, 6-ounce bag on Day 1, added 14-4 on Day 2 and leads second-place Bob Downey of Hudson, Wis., by 2 1/4 pounds entering today’s final.

Kimura got off to a good start with this 2 3/4-pounder at 7:30.
