Neil Paul, of Anderson, S.C., will pay his respects to fallen college angler Jack Hunt this week while serving as a marshal for the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Pickwick Lake. Jack Hunt was a freshman at Erskine College in South Carolina who passed away in a boating accident just over a week ago. Paul will be wearing an Erskine College Fishing shirt and a Pendleton High Bass Team hat in honor of Hunt.
Paul had the opportunity to watch Jack Hunt grow up in the same area of South Carolina, coming up through high school fishing at Pendleton High as well as the beginning of his collegiate career at Erskine University.
“This was something that crossed my mind last weekend,” said Paul. “I just wanted to be able to honor Jack in some way here in Florence.”
Paul will support the same gear on Day 2 as well.
