A lot to like

There is a lot to like about this format. Three hours is a short time, with no minutes to waste. That puts these guys on another level pressure wise.

It also makes every fish count. Ensures every cast is important. And really allows us to get a good glimpse of these anglers in relatively short period.

Of course they’ve all likely fished these three hour derbies before. I don’t know too many anglers who haven’t spent their time in week-night derby from 6 pm to 9 pm.

This reminds me a lot of those. In a regular Elite. A guy could decide mid way to drop everything and head 20 or more miles away. Can’t hardly do that in this deal.

That means for the most part these guys have to make up their mind on an area and stay there. Then once their mind is made up they have to make it work and make adjustments quickly.

Fun to watch these guys do that. With just more than an hour to go, there’s no time to completely change game plans. But if anyone will do that, it’ll be Ike. And he’ll likely make it work.
