The locking game

We locked through from Toho down to Cypress this morning along with Elite Series angler Mike Huff. The locktender told us 127 boats had come through the lock ahead of us. After scouting around Cypress and finding only a couple competitors we determined they are all in Kissimmee. The tricky part of making the run from Toho to Kissimmee is they’ll all have to come back through this lock. It only holds 15 boats at a time, so if an angler gets caught in a crowd the wait time could be lengthy. That’s a risk over half the field is apparently willing to take.
