Destin DeMarion is having himself a day! The Elite Series Pro has a limit of fish in the neighborhood of 15 pounds. DeMarion has found favor with the cloud cover and a trust in a set up that, by his own admission, he doesn’t think many other anglers have dialed in to.
How much is he relying on that setup? So much so that he was out of baits following Day 2 and drove over an hour to Columbia following weighin to meet a sponsor after hours who brought him enough baits to make it through the weekend.
In other news, in a repeat of St. Clair, DeMarion has managed to rip his pants in the boat today. If the Elite Series Pro makes it to Championship Sunday, he may be able to parlay his success into a pants sponsor.
