Level playing field showing out

Yesterday several pros noted the shallow, deep, do anything setup of Sam Rayburn will level the playing field. Gone are days past of this season when fishing produced best in a rotation of shallow patterns evolving during the spawn.

The level playing field scenario is playing out on the very unofficial BASSTrakk scoreboard. None of the early morning, or many of the midday leaders hold down the same position on the scoreboard. David Mullins and Hank Cherry Jr. are the only two anglers in the Top 10 who’ve been there since the start of Day 1.

What that means, like the predictions, is this tournament is setting up to be anybody’s game changer. That makes the unique format of Texas Fest even more appealing when you equate the prevailing patterns.
