Robbie Latuso of Gonzales, La., finished in 4th place on Day 1 with 11 pounds, 6 ounces. The second-year Elite Series pro just told photographer Gettys Brannon that he’s never felt more comfortable in an Elite Series tournament.
“It reminds me of the Amite River back home,” said Latuso, of another tidal-influenced river.
Latuso feels right at home in this area of the country too. Latuso won the co-angler division of the Toledo Bend Central Open in 2009. Latuso has two small keepers so far today.
