Bobby Lane is right where he wants to be. That is out of the lead, but not too far.
Lane just cleared a hurdle by finally putting his fifth keeper into the livewell.
“Weather has definitely made it tougher,” he said. “Ross Barnett is a grind today.”
Lane is always a threat when the fishing comes down to grinding it out. He is in a very productive area and knows it. Lane found fish in his area, a classic grass flat, and will stay there. He has no reason to leave.
The upside to the slow fishing is that Lane is learning more about the intricacies of his chosen area. With every pitch and flip he learns something new about the area. When it comes time to make subtle adjustments to his presentation he will be ready.
