Hank Cherry said one key to success this week could be locating a number of brush piles holding schools of bass.
“Usually the first fish or two you catch will be the biggest,” he said.
He said that doesn’t mean you can sit on one brush pile and hammer on the bass, however.
“Usually once you catch one or two the school scatters,” Cherry said.
That’s why it’s important to have several locations pinpointed.
“You catch one or two, and then you move to another pile,” Cherry said. “Those fish will group up again, so you can come back to it later.”
