Steve Kennedy has become the third angler to put a 6-pounder on the BASSTrakk scoreboard today. Kennedy also has a 5-pounder in his livewell and 21 pounds, 6 ounces total, unofficially.
Rumor has it that he's throwing a "huge lure." Interesting. When Kennedy and his son, Steve, a.k.a., S.J., came to get instructions on proper techniques for fizzing fish yesterday, Kennedy had several splotches of paint on his pants. He's an accomplished lure painter, and Kennedy acknowledged he'd been painting glide baits earlier.
So I'm betting Kennedy has been throwing some big ol' glide baits today. Whether that's what he caught the 6-pounder on is anybody's guess.
