Kennedy finnessing

It could be easy to assume that Hackney can’t be knocked off his perch these last two days of this event.

He’s built a sizable lead in an event where on one hand it’s hard to catch up. But the other hand shows us it’s really easy to fall as well.

Kennedy showed us yesterday there are still ways to catch up and possibly surpass Hackney. Today Hackney is fishing new stuff. Kennedy is back where he caught his big sack.

Not sure what Hackney is doing but Kennedy is finessing in relative terms the fish he’s catching.

In a fishery that begs for power fishing. He’s downsized his bait and weight and working this area thoroughly and slowly. It’s a little reminiscent of his win at Dardanelle. And the area he’s in can obviously produce bigger bites.

He just caught his second keeper dobbing his bug around the available cover. He was doing the same thing yesterday and caught two that collectively weighed 9 pounds. He does that again and the pressure changes for Hackney.
