One of our top competing anglers for Angle the Year, Jason Christie is starting out slow this morning. He started on a deep bluff island throwing a small jerkbait and has now switched over to a drop shot with a small minnow bait.
So far this morning he has only caught one fish and it was not even close to being legal. Christie said that the overcast skies and lack of sun is causing his deep fish not to be able to see the bait. He said he may have to go much shallower to get some feeding fish.
