With less than two hours left on Day 2, it’s time to take a look at 25th place and thereabouts. The 52-angler field will be cut to the top 25. Josh Bertrand set the 25th-place standard on Day 1 with 13 pounds, 9 ounces.
The formula varies from tournament to tournament for forecasting the Day 2 cut weight. Sometimes you double it, other times you double it and subtract two pounds, sometimes you double it and add a pound. It’s about as accurate as forecasting the weather a week in the future, but this looks like one of those “subtract two pounds” events, which would be 25-2.
