Destin DeMarion has had a solid day. When we found him deep in the swamp around midday, the Elite Series Pro had a limit in the boat, a fresh supply of baits and a rip in his pants.
Shortly after our LIVE segment, DeMarion made some additional upgrades in his afternoon to climb the leaderboard. Realizing this, we made the turn back through the swamp in an effort to find DeMarion and perhaps provide a skype update for the gang at Bassmaster LIVE.
A number of waypoints later, several trips around the swamp and a mild case of frustration, we finally found DeMarion in an area of the swamp all to himself. He zigged, we zagged. It happens.
DeMarion says he’s culled a two-and-a-half with a five-plus since we last saw him, he’s making some last minute casts before heading back to the ramp and he’s positioning himself for a spot on Championship Sunday.
