Roy Hawk said he was surprised by his 24-12 big bag of the Day 3, especially considering the calm wind. Asked what would be ideal conditions for him today, Hawk said, “Warm and breezy.”
That wish has come true. The wind is breezing out of the southeast and is expected to get up to about 12 miles per hour this afternoon. It’s already 60 degrees with a high of 74 forecast this afternoon.
Of course, nobody likes a little wind more than Kevin VanDam, the angler who had a 3-pound, 4-ounce lead over Hawk at the day began.
