Hamilton hopeful for quick start

“I’m already off to a better start than last year,” said Skyler Hamilton as he boated his first keeper.

Hamilton made a short run from takeoff to a stretch of the main river with heavy vegetation. A tough practice has Hamilton hoping to catch a few keepers early to calm him down.

“I didn’t catch anything in practice,” said Hamilton. “This is a stretch that I caught some males on last year. Since we don’t have much time to fish today I just started here to catch a few.”

Hamilton is one of the anglers that has decided to stay closer to takeoff and spend his time fishing rather than running.
