Guck went under the knife today

Our buddy Alan McGuckin went under the knife today. Guck works for Dynamic Sponsorships and attends most of the Elite tournaments, where he contributes a lot of great content to Bassmaster.com. Earlier this year he tore the meniscus in his right knee, and missed the La Crosse tournament this week to get it operated on.

“I’m home on the couch now eating my mom’s homemade cookies and drinking the damn coffee I wasn’t allowed to have at 4:30 a.m.,” he said. “I tried, but Dy [his girlfriend] stopped me – thank goodness, because a coffee in my belly would have postponed the surgery.

“I wanna fish so bad at this very minute. Instead Dy is reading me BASSTrakk updates from her iPhone. And I got an ice machine running ice water to calm the swelling in my knee that my Oklahoma State Trooper buddy loaned me.

“My knee was a pretty jacked-up mess. But it’s cleaned up now, and I’m resting easy. And I’m both humbled and grateful for the outpouring of heartfelt love.”

Take good care of yourself Guck. We look forward to seeing you at ICAST!
