Skeet Reese and Gerald Swindle are best friends dating back to when they began their careers. Back then sleeping in trucks parked in a Wal-Mart parking lot and splitting the price of a McDonald’s Big Mac were common.
Over the years they have motivated each other when tough love was needed most. That is the scenario now for Reese. He is on the bubble of qualifying for the 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods. A long streak of nearly continuous Classic appearances is on the line.
Swindle is well known for the “sammich bag” messages inspired by his wife LeAnn. Today’s message came from Gerald, signed by his nickname, “G.”
The message is self explanatory. “G” chased down Reese as he was leaving the dock, tossed him the bag into his boat. No words were spoken. There was no need.
