Rather than standing on his front deck while fishing, 61-year-old David Fritts fishes from the seated position in a pedestal chair. Gettys Brannon reports that Fritts just fell out of his chair while setting the hook on what would have been his fourth bass today. It was a home run swing, but the bass came unhooked.
Fritts mentioned missing several big fish yesterday that would have put him well over 20 pounds. We may have overestimated Fritts’ weight earlier. His BASSTrakk phone operated by cameraman Eric Kaffka has him at 3 bass for 11-12, rather than the 13 pounds we reported previously.
