BASSTrakk has David Fritts in 4th place with 18 pounds. Why is that a big deal?
The reason is Fritts, the 1993 world champion, is fishing the Bassmaster Elite Series season under the Legends status.
“Fishing is my life and I made my name fishing B.A.S.S.,” he said. “It just felt like the right thing to do and I’ve missed it very much.”
Thus far the 1994 Angler of the Year is making the most of that opportunity. Fritts finished 17th at the second event held on Lake Okeechobee. He started a decent 45th place at the season opener on Cherokee Lake.
Is he cranking? Probably. After knowing him so well for so long I can strongly predict that he is not sight fishing.
