The first session of the Bassmaster Classic Bracket is in the books, and Dave Lefebre ended it with a bang. Lefebre landed a 3-pound, 8-ounce bass with only seconds left in the three-hour first round.
“That’s a clutch fish,” Lefebre said. “It’s early in the Classic Bracket, but that might be a Classic fish.”
Going into tomorrow’s final between in these two matchups, Lefebre (12-13) will have a 3-pound 10-ounce lead over Kelley Jaye (9-3), and Jacob Powroznik (13-7) will have a 1-14 lead over Steve Kennedy (11-9), who was the only angler who didn’t manage to catch a five-bass limit this morning.
