Feider taking no gambles today

Seth Feider started Day 3 at the Sabine River in great shape. He was in 7th place after two days, and leading the Elite Series Angler of the Year race, based on those standings. His previous finishes this season were 3rd at the St. Johns River, 29th at the Tennessee River and 25th at Pickwick Lake.

Feider is fishing stress free this week. That’s mostly attributable to his proximity to the Orange Boat Ramp tournament site. Unlike tournament leaders Jason Christie and Brock Mosley, Feider isn’t burning much gas. He had a limit by 8:55 this morning, which included a 3-pounder.

“I’m one good bite away from making the top 10 cut,” said Feider. “I’m not going to make any big gambles today. With the tide going out and a north wind, there’s a chance of getting stuck.”
