Feider boat flips, “a freakin’ giant, dude”

No one was more confident after practice at Cayuga Lake than Seth Feider. Of the anglers surveyed, Feider predicted the highest winning weight – 83 pounds, 2 ounces.

There’s a bunch of bass out there,” Feider said Wednesday. “It was all I was hoping for. I came and prepped for it, and it’s all lining up.”

Feider just backed up those words. As soon as he set the hook on this one, just before 10 a.m., he knew it was a good fish. As he boat flipped it, Feider yelled, “That’s a freakin’ giant, dude!”

It went on BASSTrakk as a 5-pounder, giving Feider 17-12 unofficially and putting him among the leaders. He caught a 20-pound, 7-ounce bag on Day 1 here in 2016 and finished 17th in the tournament.
