In every smallmouth bass fishery, you can expect some wild swings in the angler standings from Day 1 to Day 2. The St. Lawrence River is no exception. This holds true even at the very top of the standings. In both of the past two years, only four of the top 10 anglers from Day 1 have remained in the top 10 on Day 2.
The field will be cut to the top 35 two-day totals after today’s weigh-in. You can expect one ounce, maybe two, separating 35th and 36th place.
